Hello Again..

Hi there...
It's such a long time since I last wrote here. Spider web is everywhere. Should I do some spring clean here?

It's holiday now and so, my blog also takes a break. LOL. Been busy with FYP, watching anime and reading manga. That's why never found a time to blog.

What greeted me this holiday? Well, the exam results just released and to my horror, it's the WORST results I got for the past 3 and a half years. Never had I seen so many C-s and Ds in a semester. Well, like my friends said - let bygones be bygones. I should focus more on finding job than to wither and grumble.

Hmm... Virus attacks and I lost all my favourites. No links for you guys ( and gals) .. Still, i'll find some for you here:

Subject Registration == Arrghhh !!!

It's been some time since I last blogged. Had been busy with FYP, sleep, anime and manga. Haha. So, what should I blog today? How about a very idiotic action of mine when registering my subjects?

Cares have been taken to ensure I didn't clash any subjects and also to ensure there are vacancies for my subjects placed in the waitlist. I clicked on the "Add Course(s) to STAR" a few times before the allocated time. The clock striked 130pm and finally the result was out! I saw some red lines here and there. This was the first time I registered by myself (as previously, I had some people to help me registered successfully) and it was a tragedy! I couldn't registered my design lab! Arrgh...

Due to some idiotic actions of mine, I had to register my lab design as a general elective and had to appeal for assistance from school. From PE to GE. Sigh. Was it a curse or a blessing? Some seniors of mine said it would be great! Next semester, I won't need to study because I just need a pass ofr GE as grading is not relevant for my Honours. limin said "power" when I registered it as my GE. Sigh. Talking about power, I should have taken power as my design lab. Still, the lab that I'm going to take also is kinda tough. So taking it as a GE would be easier for me. But would it affect my Honours since it is DIFFERENT than the rest? Well, it is all pending to the assistance of the school. It all depends if the school can help me register the subject first. Else, I would be the first person to fail to graduate because of an idiotic action of not clearing the necessary modules. Haha.

This blog is kinda lengthy and today has no links for you all to read. What should I do next? Hmm, I shall play with my Christmas present, a be-earlied present which was given by - ME !! Haha, what a pathetic life, isn't it? =)

Yay, finally. Freedom is mine! Or is it not? For the past three weeks, I had to face a monster called exam - that's why I didn't blog. Not even on Thanksgiving Day :(

Yesterday, ginshan brought me to Media Library Resources to study together. Though I've visited the place once or twice (for the past 3 and a half years), I never used the facilities there. She taught me how to borrow the cd audios and how to open the dvd-rom of the PC. LOL. I'm so outdated till I can't operate a DVD-rom.

How to Install Love

Tech Support: Thank you for calling tech support for HOS - that’s Human Operating Systems. How can I be of assistance?

Customer: Well I’ve had this Love Program sitting around for a while and finally decided to install it. But it seems a bit complicated and I don’t want to mess it up. Can you guide me through the process?

Tech Support: Great. Let’s go. The first step is to check for any potentially conflicting programs that might be running in your heart .

Customer: Sounds good. How do I do that?

Tech Support: First hit Ctrl, Alt, Delete all at the same time. Got it?

Customer: Yes.

Tech Support: Great: Now click on the tab that says Heart Applications. Do you see that?

Customer: I do. Got it.

Tech Support: Perfect. What applications are running?

Customer: I see Past Hurt, Low Self-Esteem, Grudge
and Resentment running right now.

Tech Support: No problem, Love will gradually erase Past Hurt from your current operating system. It may remain in your permanent memory but it will no longer disrupt other programs. Customer: Okay, done! And it seems like Love has started installing itself. Is that normal?

Tech Support: Yes, but remember that you have only the base program. You need to begin connecting to other Hearts in order to get the upgrades.

Tech Support: Don’t worry. It means that the Love program is set up to run on Internal Hearts, but has not yet been run on your Heart. In non-technical terms, it simply means you have to Love yourself before you can Love others.

Tech Support: Great now go to the modules drop-down menu and check the boxes next to: Forgive-Self; Realize Your Worth; and Acknowledge your Limitations.

Tech Support: Perfect. Now, click on the box that says “Copy new modules to Heart Directory.” And then click on the “OK” button. Once you do that, the system will overwrite any conflicting files and begin patching faulty programming.

Customer: Done… Hey! I can feel my heart is filling up with new files. Smile is playing on my monitor and Peace and Contentment are copying themselves all over My Heart. Is this normal?

Tech Support: Sometimes. For others it takes awhile, but eventually everything gets it at the proper time. So Love is installed and running. One more thing before we hang up. Love is Shareware. And the interesting thing is that the more you share it with others the more stable your personal installation will become. So be sure to pass it along to everyone you meet.

Pool and Billiard

Today's my first time playing both Pool and Billiard. Thanks to Kok Heng, I couldn't revise in the morning for my EE4906 CA. How was the CA? Don't ask..

Anyway, the games were very fun. No photo was taken, so you all can't see the hilarious placement of the balls =) Still, till now also I can't differentiate between billiard and pool .. sigh.


Today is Luke's 23rd birthday! Tomorrow will be Wei Wah's 23rd birthday! Wow, why all my friends like to have their birthday so close to one another? Hehehe.. Wishing these two very fine gentlemen the very best of luck in whatever they are doing. For the gals out there, you all can forget them because they are happily attached with their girlfriends :P

Exam is just another 9 days away and I don't have any progress at all! Slept most of the time and procrastinate with no reasons at all. Instead of being guilty, I should do a more productive work - and that is blogging!

It really is fun being kids. Their responses are amusing. Yet, there is one that jumps out to me.

"I let my big sister pick on me because my Mom says she only picks on me because she loves me. So I pick on my baby sister because I love her."

I always bully my lil sis (actually, it's sisterS - I have many kiddos). It's now proven that bullying is a kind of love! Though the theorem is given by a kid =P
So, don't say I bully them just for fun =)

On another note, limin has been promoted from lil sis to become my big sister. It all happened yesterday when I complained that I was tired being a big brother. And she literally jumped off the seat and said, "From now on, I'll be your big sister!"

But wait!! According to the theorem given by the kid, limin will pick on me! OMG!! Life in hell has just started. How am I going to go through this new life??!


P/s: Before you guys (and gals) get some funny ideas, love here can mean a lot of things - and NOT boyfriend-girlfriend. So, stop thinking whatever you are thinking now. They are my lil sis and will always remain as such. Because I am a good big brother and will take care of them =) .. actually more towards bullying them =P

Weird Sleep Pattern

Yesterday's sleep was awful. It followed a rather idiotic cycle.
8-11pm : Sleep (supposedly light nap)
11-1am : watch anime - shounen onmyouji
1-3am : sleep again
3-5am : read ee4273 textbook + manga Initial D .. in the end, what have I learned? The dogfight between Takumi and Keisuke.. But please don't ask me about the root locus. Enter left ear, exit right ear .. OMG !!
5-8am : sleep again..

meng flunked his CA ... AGAIN??!

What more can I say? This is the second CA (quiz) I flunked - this week! I can't blame others - I didn't read the night before ( or nightS before), I watched anime for an hour in the morning before rushing to lecture, and subsequently I had to take the CA with an empty stomach (skipped breakfast - a very bad decision). I felt I could be cleverer, or act cleverer - as shown in the picture below :


To cheer me up, what should I do? Watch more anime lo :P

Made a new friend yesterday. Her name is ginshan, introduced by limin. LOL. The way we were introduced were very very very informal lo. limin always mentioned her name. Thus when we met, we just chitchat, without going through the formal way like "Hello, my name is meng." - -"
Whose fault is that? Whom to blame? Ask limin lo :P

ginshan said I was rude. Hey, I didn't use foul langauge - I just use strong language :P as a consequence, I received a one-to-one lecture by Mrs Humphrey on "Manners for Men". More details can be obtained in

For the rest of my friends, she is my "kakak angkat" (god sister) during my Form6 time. FYI, huiHui is my little sister #2 =) Who is #1? Well, I shall not tell you about her :P I met huiHui when I was in Year2. She was my lab partner. (well, except for me - that’s what big korkor is for :P).

On another note, I have also tested the name decoder on me. The result was, surprisingly, unexpected. It really sounds like I am a gay. I know li min will laugh at this (for eternity). She had a misperception that I am gay – thanks to an ill-fated incident at school :( I declare this here and now – I AM NOT GAY! Period.

Sigh.. I had written so much for this post (well, actually just two paragraphs or so) but the Firefox I'm using suddenly shut down. Have to retype again :(

Well, Friday was the day where I spent the most time in my FYP lab, practically almost from 9-6pm. I transferred my mentor's circuit from a test board to a copper board. FYI, I also did the same circuit as my mentor's but mine failed - though i rebuilt it THREE times! Well, cross your fingers for miracles. This is the circuit I had done:

Pretty Gal

Today is the first day I chose to eat at Can B when I am already in Can A. Sigh, with a variety of nice and delicious food in Can A, I opted for Can B.

Anyway, while I was walking down the stairs to South Spine, I saw a pretty gal in an over-sized white sweater. She was short, though sporting brown, long hair till her waist that waves with the wind. Her short shorts just made her even sexier.

Having said that, I didn't really see her face. Well, it could be a good thing. At least I could keep a good memory that I saw a pretty gal. =P

Called Mei Ling this evening. And fate has it that my phone died on me after a short 2 minutes conversation with her. Sigh. I really couldn't believe my luck. Well, never mind. I can always call another gal once my phone is fully charged.

Wanted to buy snacks and a carton of milk from minimart, but the store is closing down for the day. And I thought they were going to extend the opening hours for exam period. Well, there is a good thing in it, considering that I had an expensive dinner with Choon Lim and his gang at Cafe by the Quad.
